Overview
Immerse yourself in the lush rainforests of Uganda on this 3-day gorilla trekking safari. Track habituated gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, one of the world's most biodiverse forests. Observe these gentle giants in their natural habitat and learn about their fascinating culture.
After a long flight, you finally arrive in Uganda, one of the most beautiful countries in Africa. You are met at the airport by your guide and driver, who will transfer you to Murchison Falls National Park, your home for the next few days.
The drive to the park takes about 4-5 hours, and you will pass through some of the most stunning scenery in Uganda. You will see rolling hills, lush forests, and the mighty Nile River.
As you approach the park, you will see the towering Murchison Falls, where the Nile River squeezes through a narrow gorge. The falls are truly a sight to behold, and you will be able to get a closer look on a boat cruise later in the day.
After you arrive at the park, you will check into your lodge and have some time to relax. In the afternoon, you will go on a game drive, where you will have the chance to see some of the amazing wildlife that calls Murchison Falls National Park home. You may see lions, elephants, giraffes, and many other animals.
After your game drive, you will enjoy a delicious dinner at your lodge. Then, you will retire for the night, ready for a full day of exploring the park tomorrow.
Rise early and head to the Nile River for a morning boat cruise. As you glide upstream, take in the lush vegetation and rugged rocks that line the banks. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife, such as elephants, buffaloes, and giraffes. As you approach the falls, you will be awestruck by their power. The water rushes through a narrow gorge with such force that it creates a deafening roar and a cloud of mist. The boat will cruise right up to the base of the falls, where you can get a close-up view of this natural wonder.
After breakfast, set off for the top of Murchison Falls. The hike is challenging, but the views from the top are well worth it. You will be rewarded with panoramic views of the falls, the Nile River, and the surrounding savanna.
As you hike, keep your eyes peeled for wildlife. This is a great place to see elephants, lions, buffaloes, and a variety of birds. The vegetation is also lush and varied, with trees such as mahogany, ebony, and fig.
Once you reach the top of the falls, you will be able to see the water crashing down from a height of 43 meters. The roar of the falls is deafening, and the mist is so thick that you can feel it on your skin. It is an incredibly powerful and awe-inspiring sight.
After taking in the views, you can either hike back down or take a boat ride back to your lodge. Either way, you will have a day that you will never forget.
