Overview
A 5-day Uganda safari package is a great way to experience the best of what this beautiful country has to offer. You'll get to see some of the world's most amazing wildlife, including mountain gorillas, lions, elephants, and hippos. You'll also visit some of Uganda's most stunning national parks, such as Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that you'll never forget.
After a long flight from home, you finally arrive at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda. You are greeted by your driver and transferred to your safari vehicle. The drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park takes about 6-8 hours, so you will have plenty of time to relax and enjoy the scenery.
Along the way, you will stop at the equator monument, where you can take a photo and learn about the unique geography of this part of the world. You will also have the opportunity to visit some local craft shops and purchase souvenirs.
Once you arrive at Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will check into your lodge and have lunch. In the afternoon, you will go on a game drive in the park. This is a great opportunity to see some of the amazing wildlife that calls this park home, such as lions, elephants, giraffes, and zebras.
After your game drive, you will return to your lodge for dinner and a good night's sleep. Tomorrow, you will wake up early and go on another game drive, this time in the Ishasha sector of the park, where you may be lucky enough to see the famous tree-climbing lions.
The sun has barely risen over the horizon as you set out on your early morning game drive. The air is still and cool, and the only sounds are the chirping of birds and the occasional rustle of leaves. You scan the savannah for signs of life, and soon you are rewarded with the sight of a herd of elephants grazing in the distance.
As you get closer, you can see the individual elephants, each with its own unique markings. There are mothers with their young calves, older bulls with long tusks, and even a few lone elephants. You watch as the elephants move slowly and gracefully through the grass, their trunks swaying in the breeze.
After a while, you move on to another part of the park, where you see a group of lions lounging in the shade of a tree. The lions are sleeping soundly, their tawny fur blending in with the dry grass. You quietly observe them for a few minutes, then continue on your way.
Later in the morning, you board a boat for a safari along the Kazinga Channel. The channel is a narrow strip of water that connects Lake George and Lake Edward, and it is home to a wide variety of wildlife. As you cruise along the channel, you see hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. You also see herds of buffalo, waterbuck, and zebra.
The boat ride is a relaxing and enjoyable way to see the wildlife of Queen Elizabeth National Park. You have the chance to get up close to the animals, and you can learn about their behavior from your guide. The boat ride is also a great way to see the scenery of the park, which is lush and green.
After the boat ride, you return to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you have some free time to relax or go for a walk in the park. In the evening, you enjoy a delicious dinner at your lodge.
On the third day of your safari, you will venture into Kyambura Gorge, a lush and verdant ravine that is home to a thriving population of chimpanzees. This is a truly unique opportunity to see these amazing creatures in their natural habitat, and to learn about their fascinating behavior.
Your chimpanzee tracking experience will begin with a briefing from your guide, who will teach you about the dos and don'ts of chimpanzee tracking. You will then set off into the gorge, following the trails of the chimpanzees. As you hike, you will be able to see a variety of other wildlife, including baboons, elephants, and lions.
After a few hours of hiking, you will finally come across the chimpanzees. These intelligent and social creatures will often come right up to you, allowing you to get a close-up look at them. You will be able to observe their behavior, such as their grooming, their play, and their interactions with each other.

After a hearty breakfast, we set off on our game drive for the day. We headed to the Ishasha sector of the park, which is known for its tree-climbing lions. We were not disappointed! We soon spotted a pride of lions lounging in the branches of a fig tree. It was an amazing sight to see.
After our encounter with the lions, we continued our game drive. We saw a variety of other animals, including elephants, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, and warthogs. We also saw a number of birds, including pelicans, storks, and eagles.
The scenery in Queen Elizabeth National Park is truly stunning. We drove through savannahs, forests, and wetlands. We saw mountains in the distance and the Kazinga Channel winding through the park.
We had a wonderful time exploring the scenic landscapes of Queen Elizabeth National Park. We saw some amazing animals and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. We would highly recommend this park to anyone looking for an African safari experience.
After a leisurely breakfast, we packed up our belongings and said goodbye to our wonderful lodge. We then set off on our journey back to Kampala.
The drive was long, but we were able to stop at a few interesting places along the way. We visited the Equator, where we stood with one foot in the Northern Hemisphere and one foot in the Southern Hemisphere. We also stopped at the Igongo Cultural Centre, where we learned about the history and culture of the Baganda people.
Finally, we arrived in Kampala in the early evening. We checked into our hotel and then went out to dinner. We had a wonderful last meal in Uganda, and we were sad to be leaving.
