Mikumi National Park covers an area of approximately 3,230 square kilometers (1,250 square miles) and is part of the larger Selous ecosystem. Established in 1964, the park is named after the adjacent village of Mikumi. It is the fourth largest national park in Tanzania and offers visitors a remarkable safari experience.
